Successful leadership within a university requires an understanding of the decision making process, a mastery of communication methods, and an ability to build consensus in an environment of shared governance. At San Francisco State, these dimensions of leadership have their own flavor. Mr. Shawn Whalen, Chair of the Academic Senate, and Dr. Gerald Eisman, Director of the Institute for Civic and Community Engagement, share their experiences in how to become agents of change in a university community.
Current and aspiring faculty leaders will find this session invaluable!
