Increase Life Satisfaction Lead from Your Strengths

Lead: Lauren Vanett, Program Director, College of Extended Learning
Date and Time: February 19, 2009 - 1:00pm - 2:00pm
Location: Burk Hall 333

Based on current research from the field of Positive Psychology, this workshop will help you to recognize and see the value of building on your core strengths instead of fixing your weaknesses as a means of creating greater life satisfaction. Through hands-on activities, you'll gain insight into how you have used your strengths in the past and explore possible strategies for using them in new ways with increased awareness and frequency in the future. By leading from your strengths in this way, you 'crowd out' negative experience, creating enhanced opportunity for a more engaged and meaningful life.
