Problem-Based Learning

Lead: Andrea Boyle, Professor, School of Nursing

This workshop is designed to: (1) describe problem-based learning; (2) identify some of the current work in the area of problem-based learning; (3) describe the author's experiences with problem-based learning in nursing education at both undergraduate and graduate levels; (4) identify advantages and limitations of this approach in both undergraduate and graduate settings; and (5) discuss the use of problem-based learning with workshop participants.
