Creating Accessible Documents
Lead: Bob Moyce, Center for Teaching and Faculty Development
Date and Time: August 21, 2009 - 10:30am - 11:30am
Location: Burk Hall 210
In this hands-on session, participants will learn the basics of accessibility and how to use the built-in tools within Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat Professional to create accessible documents for their students. Providing accessible instructional materials is a best-practice of Universal Design for Learning and helps ensure your courses meet the Accessible Technology Initiative requirements. Following a brief overview of the importance of providing accessible instructional materials, a step-by-step tutorial will show participants how to properly structure and format a document for accessibility compliance.
