Emerging Technologies for Online Learning Symposium

The 3rd Annual Emerging Technologies for Online Learning Symposium will be held at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, CA. This year, the MERLOT International Conference joins forces with both the Sloan Consortium and MoodleMoot to present the Symposium. Registration opens February 2, 2010.

This conference focuses on the technologies that drive online learning effectiveness, highlighting research, applications and best practices of important emerging technological tools.

Experts, intermediate users and novices are welcome to participate in the conference activities, which will include face‐to‐face and virtual components. Tracks call for demonstrations of research and practice related to pedagogy, immersive learning, innovation, community and scale as well as hands‐on use of technology, and include the following:

  • Pedagogy
  • Faculty Development
  • Inventive Uses of Media and Tools
  • Immersive Learning and Virtual Environments
  • The New Learning Communities

Call for Proposals

We invite you to submit a proposal for the 3rd Annual Emerging Technologies for Online Learning Symposium, to be held at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, CA.

Tracks call for demonstrations of research and practice related to pedagogy, immersive learning, innovation, community and scale as well as hands‐on use of technology. We encourage submissions related to instruction, networking, assessment, open educational resources, new media and support services.

When submitting your abstract for review, you will have the option to have it considered for one of the following Conference Tracks.
