Professional Development

Professional development for faculty is supported on campus by many units and departments, with whom the Center for Teaching and Faculty Development closely works and coordinates. The need for and establishment of a central unit with broad responsibilities for faculty development was mandated in 1992 by SF State Academic Senate Resolution #RS92-106, and The Center’s renewed mission is to lead development support efforts for "faculty in their roles as teachers, as scholars and professionals, and as persons, at all stages of their careers."
